Personal

A general dentist for over 24 years, John has a keen interest in and has extensively studied the business side of dentistry.  He brings to Sunrise Dental Solutions, over 13 years of practice management experience and his tremendous knowledge of the numbers of a dental practice.  He is also a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and teaches Dental Materials in the Dental Hygiene program.

John and his wife of 24 years, Cindy Lyon, D.D.S., live in Murphys, California, a small gold rush era town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.  He enjoys all types of outdoor activities and likes to participate in local triathlons.  He also spends extended time in the remotest of regions all over North America where he studies all species of bears including his favorite, the Grizzly Bear.
